Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Platform Watch Limited ("we", "us", "our") and govern your use of the PlatformWatch app and website (the "Service"). Platform Watch Limited is registered in England and Wales (company number 17338786), registered office Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, England, IP28 7DE.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which form part of your agreement with us.

Who can use PlatformWatch

What PlatformWatch is — and isn't

PlatformWatch is a passenger-awareness tool. It shows crowdsourced reports submitted by other passengers to help you understand what is happening at stations and on trains, and to know your rights.

It is not a tool to evade fares or to avoid lawful enforcement, and must not be used for those purposes. Reports are submitted by members of the public, may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and are provided for general awareness only. Do not rely on them as a guarantee of what is or is not happening at any station or on any train.

Your content and conduct

You are responsible for everything you post, and you must follow our Community Guidelines at all times.

Your rights in your content

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display that content within the Service so that it can function — for example, showing your report to other passengers, and (for our staff) moderating it. Report photos are automatically deleted about 3 hours after posting.

VIP subscriptions and payments

VIP is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra features. The price, billing period and what’s included are shown to you before you buy.

App stores (Apple and Google)

If you download PlatformWatch from the App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to that store’s terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service or for support. For iOS, Apple (and its subsidiaries) is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them, and any App Store maintenance, support and warranty obligations are ours, not Apple’s.

Moderation and enforcement

Availability and changes

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available". We may add, change, suspend or remove features, or the whole Service, at any time. We may also update these Terms; if we do, we will post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Third-party services and data

The Service relies on third-party data and providers, including map data from OpenStreetMap, live train information from National Rail Enquiries / the Rail Data Marketplace and Transport for London, payment providers (Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat), and hosting infrastructure. Their data and services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party content.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and its crowdsourced content are provided without warranties of any kind, including as to accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or any report within it. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your non-excludable rights as a consumer.

Intellectual property

PlatformWatch, including its name, design and software, belongs to Platform Watch Limited. You may not copy, modify or redistribute it except as allowed by these Terms or by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. If you have a paid subscription, deleting your account does not by itself cancel billing handled by an app store — cancel that through the store as well.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
